Mzukulu Sound is a journey through the deserts, hills and valleys of Africa. It's an Afro House record label and events company founded by Henry — a DJ, producer, and artist manager based in Canada. The brand is rooted in the Southern African house tradition: the lineage that runs from Kwaito and SA Deep House through to the contemporary Afro House that artists like Black Coffee, Caiiro, and Oscar Mbo have carried to global stages.
The name Mzukulu is isiZulu and isiNdebele for 'grandchild' or 'descendant.' It signals both cultural inheritance and forward movement. Not nostalgia. Ancestry as creative fuel.
The brand lives comfortably alongside Innervisions, MoBlack Records, Stay True Sounds, and Offering Recordings — equally at home on a Berlin festival programme or a Johannesburg flyer. Premium. Restrained. Earned.
